Ran into a SNAFU this morning, when pulling out Dilithium from the Exchange

Because the way STO handle's Dilithium overflow on the character, anything over 10M Dilithium on the character is truncated. I do get imposed limits however I would expect a bit more warning. Somewhere between 60,000 to 2,480,000 Dilithium just vanished into the eather on my account and they don't even bother telling you in the logs, hoping you will not see it.

There are so many ways to address this.

Give a warning that you are about to pull out more Dilithium then you character can hold. Convert the Excess back in Unrefined Dilithium. Convert the Excess into Fleet Dilithium Vouchers. Only allow for withdrawing up to the 10M per character limit. So if a person has 2 Million on a character, and has 9 Million in the exchange then only allow a withdraw of 8 million leaving the 1 million in the exchange.

Yes it was my screw up for not paying more attention but at the same time. It is bad design to allow this to happen in the first place.

PSA: Remember to claim your unsold exchange items

Posted: 20 Jun 2021 04:57 AM PDT

I just found out that there's a limit to how many items you can post on the exchange, and that unclaimed items in the mail count towards that limit when I couldn't list more than 10 things today.

I then had to go back through all my mail back to 2013 and reclaim those items.

So to make your life easier remember to reclaim unsold items and delete mail as you go so you don't have to scroll through pages and pages of mail years from now

level one noob cash shop ship?

Posted: 20 Jun 2021 08:40 AM PDT

I'm a many-time noob to the game. I really want to play, but I absolutely stink at ship combat. I've asked for advice before and learned a little, but still... ship battles take forever and I die way too often. I'm talking low level PVE content. I am just no good at ship combat. People have offered to group with me, but I really want to not depend on that.

I'm willing to spend some cash if there is a ship that can help. I'd prefer not to just one-shot enemies with some super DPS awesome ship. I have two questions:

Can I actually by a ship on the cash shop that I can use right away, even at low levels? If so, is there a super tanky ship that you would suggest? I just want to "live through" the battles while I learn how to fly and maneuver and fight back effectively.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Accuracy ain't popular, hoping for help

Posted: 20 Jun 2021 06:13 AM PDT

I've done a couple of ACC builds for fun. I know it isn't the best but I have tons of other builds.

Looking for someone to recommend what they believe is the best Warp Core for an ACC build. Sets are fine. Throw it out there.

Thank you in advance!

Tier 6 choice

So with this year's reward of a T6 choice. Do you think the ship you pick will be bound to account, to character or unbound (so you could sell it on the exchange)?

Console sets not getting final bonus to reduce cooldown?

Posted: 19 Jun 2021 07:25 PM PDT

I've been using the 31st century ship set on one toon, and I just got the Mudd bundle with the Alternate Timeline set. But the consoles keep going on 2 minute cooldowns which is what they are by default. That's their default cooldown. The 31st century ships final bonus says 50% reduction, and the Alternate Timeline says it reduces the cooldown by 1 minute. Same thing either way.

Anyone know what's up with this or if there's something I can do on my end to fix this. I've tried a few combinations of removing a piece and adding it back and doing it on the ground and in space and saving the loadouts. When I hover over the items it says the sets are completed.
